Medical Qigong 氣功療法
Medical Qigong is an ancient form of Chinese energetic medicine, and is one of the five main branches of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), along with acupuncture, herbal medicine, moxibustion and medical massage(Tuina). As with the other "Branches" of TCM, healing occurs through balancing qi or electromagnetic energy which surrounds and pervades all living creatures.
It is a way of influencing and directing Qi through non-invasive techniques for medical benefits rather than by using needles, herbs or physical manipulation, although these can be supplementary. In recent years, its efficacy has gained recognition worldwide, especially in integrative medical settings.
Medical Qigong uses the Qi of the practitioner to directly influence and invigorate the smooth flow of Qi within the patient. The focused, refined and potentised Qi of the practitioner is transmitted, by lightly touching or without touching the patient, to the imbalanced or diseased aspect of the client to remove possible Qi blockages of many different sorts and to initiate cure. This not only promotes physical healing but also addresses emotional imbalances, making it a comprehensive approach to health. Client will be given qigong prescriptions to assist in their ongoing healing. Tailored specifically to the client medical qigong exercises use.
Medical Qigong has been utilized to manage a wide array of physical and psychological conditions, including chronic pain, fatigue, anxiety, and depression. Its effectiveness as a complementary therapy in cancer care is particularly notable, where it aids in reducing treatment side effects and improving the quality of life for patients. In China, top-tier TCM hospitals and universities have integrated Medical Qigong into their medical programs, underscoring its vital role in holistic care.
Accessible to people of all backgrounds, Medical Qigong is a non-religious practice, offering a powerful and natural path to rejuvenation and healing, and fostering resilience in the face of health challenges.
